Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks an Engineering-level SCADA professional to support design, development and delivery of the SOLV SCADA solution across renewable energy projects. The role can be hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or fully remote.

Location details and expectations will be discussed during interview. Responsibilities include designing SCADA integration components, implementing standards, and coordinating with customers and field teams to ensure successful project

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy projects.
• Proficiency with Python programming.
• Ignition SCADA platform experience.
• Familiarity with PLCs including Allen-Bradley and GE/Emerson environments.
• Experience with installing and commissioning SCADA networks.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA/DA.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics.
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Execute the design and development of SCADA integration components for utility-scale renewable projects.
• Define and implement product design standards and best practices with cross-functional teams.
• Review project requirements and ensure deliverables meet contractual scope.
• Create device points lists, HMI assets, test plans and commissioning checklists.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians and HMI systems.
• Review closeout documentation to verify all contractual deliverables.
• Provide intermediate technical support for diverse SCADA configurations.
• Engage in technical discussions with customers and partners.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge base and assist with troubleshooting.
• Coordinate on-site commissioning with customers and field technicians.
• Learn and apply different software/hardware used by the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for platform development and data integration.
• Provide project status updates and support risk mitigation to meet goals.
• Promote a culture of NERC compliance and governance in programming and commissioning.
