Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a SCADA engineer to support design, development and delivery of our SCADA solutions for utility-scale solar and storage projects. The role can be hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or fully remote, with interview discussions for location expectations.

You will execute SCADA integration, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and coordinate on-site commissioning with customers and field technicians.

Qualifications

• When 2-4 years of SCADA engineering experience is required, including renewable energy projects.
• Proficiency with programming languages including Python.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Ignition SCADA platform.
• Intermediate working knowledge of relational databases and SCADA applications.
• Familiarity with PLC equipment such as RTAC, CompactLogix and RX3i platforms.
• Familiar with SCADA networks installation and commissioning using Fiber Optics and Serial RS.

Responsibilities

• Execute the design and development of SCADA integration components and systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Define and implement product design standards and best practices with the team.
• Review and implement project-specific requirements for the assigned scope.
• Generate device points lists, HMI mockups and assets, commissioning test plans and checklists.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Review closeout documentation to verify all contractual deliverables are met.
• Provide intermediate level technical support for diverse SCADA configurations.
• Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site commissioning and installation support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform development and data integration.
