Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Engineering level professional to aid in the design, development, and delivery of its SOLV SCADA solutions across utility-scale solar, battery storage, and substation projects. The role offers hybrid work with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or fully remote.

Responsibilities include designing SCADA components, programming, commissioning, and supporting project documentation.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy or utility-scale projects.
• Proficiency with Python programming.
• Experience with Ignition SCADA platform is preferred.
• Familiarity with PLC environments (Schweitzer RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson RX3i) and data networks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SCADA integration components for utility-scale projects (Solar PV, BESS).
• Define and implement product design standards and best practices.
• Review project requirements and ensure contractual deliverables.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMIs.
• Provide technical support and participate in customer discussions.
• Maintain knowledge base and assist with on-site commissioning as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data integration.
