Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a SCADA Engineer to join our team, providing engineering-level support for SCADA design, development and delivery of EPC projects. The role supports hybrid work with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or fully remote options; exact location discussed in interview.

Responsibilities include designing SCADA integrations, programming servers and HMIs, and ensuring project deliverables meet standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy or industrial/utility scale PV, BESS, or wind preferred.
• Proficiency with programming languages including Python.
• Familiarity with Inductive Automation’s Ignition SCADA platform.
• Familiarity with PLC environments (e.g., Schweitzer RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson RX3i).

Responsibilities

• Execute design and development of SCADA integration components for utility-scale solar and storage projects.
• Define and implement product design standards and best practices.
• Review and implement project-specific requirements for assigned scope.
• Generate device points lists, HMI mockups and assets, commissioning test plans and checklists.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Review closeout documentation to verify contractual deliverables.
• Provide intermediate technical support for diverse SCADA configurations.
• Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site commissioning.
