Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Engineering level SCADA specialist to support the design, development and delivery of SOLV SCADA solutions and EPC projects. This role can be hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or fully remote.

Location details will be discussed during the interview process. Responsibilities include SCADA component design, standards and documentation, on-site commissioning support, and collaboration with customers and field teams to ensure successful

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy (industrial or utility-scale PV, BESS, or wind)
• Proficiency with Python
• Ignition SCADA experience
• Familiar with PLC equipment (e.g., Schweitzer RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson RX3i) and SCADA networks

Responsibilities

• Execute design and development of SCADA components and systems for renewable energy projects (Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage).
• Define and implement product design standards and best practices.
• Review project requirements and deliverables for assigned scope.
• Generate device points lists, HMI mockups, assets, and commissioning test plans.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Review closeout documentation to verify contractual deliverables.
• Provide intermediate technical support for SCADA configurations.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers and partners.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge base.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plant monitoring and control systems.
• Coordinate on-site commissioning and installation support with customers and field personnel.
• Learn software/hardware used by the organization.
