Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to support design, development and delivery of the SOLV SCADA solution and EPC projects. The role can be hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or fully remote.

You will work on utility-scale PV and Battery Energy Storage projects, implementing standards and best practices. Responsibilities include programming and commissioning SCADA servers, supporting project execution, and collaborating with customers and partners to

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy or industrial/utility scale PV/BESS/wind environments.
• Proficiency with Python programming.
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA platform.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SCADA applications.
• Familiar with PLC environments (e.g., Schweitzer RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson).
• Knowledge of SCADA networking (Fiber, RS-232/RS-485, TCP/IP).
• Proficiency in reading/creating diagrams and schematics for power, networking, control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SCADA integration components for utility-scale renewables.
• Collaborate with teams to define design standards and best practices.
• Review project requirements and ensure contractual deliverables.
• Create device points lists, HMIs, and commissioning test plans.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMIs.
• Support on-site commissioning and installation activities.
• Maintain centralized knowledge base and assist with troubleshooting.
