Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a SCADA engineer to design, develop and deliver SCADA components for utility-scale solar and storage projects. Responsibilities include programming HMIs, data historians and SCADA servers, with emphasis on reliability, safety and standards compliance.

The role supports hybrid work with on-site needs in the western US and requires strong teamwork and communication to meet project goals and budgets.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy or utility-scale projects.
• Proficiency with Python programming and Ignition SCADA.
• Experience with PLCs (Schweitzer, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson) and RS-232/RS-485.
• Knowledge of Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA in industrial environments.
• Strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SCADA integration components for renewable energy projects.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, HMIs, and data historians.
• Define design standards and verify project deliverables.
• Support on-site commissioning and coordination with field technicians.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable data integration.
