Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an SCADA Engineering professional to design, develop, and deliver SCADA integration components for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. The role supports hybrid work arrangements with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, or remote work as discussed in interviews.

You will execute SCADA system design, define standards, review project requirements, and collaborate with customers and engineers to ensure successful commissioning and delivery of projects.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy or utility-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform and PLC networks.
• Familiarity with PLC environments such as Schweitzer RTAC, Allen‑Bradley Control/CompactLogix, GE/Emerson RX3i.
• Familiar with SCADA network installation and commissioning including fiber optics and Serial RS.

Responsibilities

• Execute design and development of SCADA integration components for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Collaborate with teams to define and implement design standards and best practices.
• Review project requirements and ensure alignment with contractual deliverables.
• Create device points lists, HMI assets, and commissioning test plans.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Review commissioning documents and ensure all deliverables are met.
• Provide intermediate technical support for diverse SCADA configurations.
• Engage with customers and partners in technical discussions.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge base and support documentation.
• Assist with troubleshooting and data integration efforts.
• Coordinate on-site commissioning activities with customers and field technicians.
• Learn and apply company software/hardware used for SCADA systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform development.
