Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Engineering level SCADA specialist to design, develop and deliver solutions for utility-scale solar, battery storage and substations. The role supports hybrid or remote work with in-office presence in select locations and involves implementing, testing and commissioning SCADA components across projects.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy or utility-scale projects.
• Proficiency with Python programming.
• Familiarity with Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform.
• Relational databases and SCADA applications knowledge.
• Experience with PLC environments (RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson RX3i).
• Experience with SCADA network installation and commissioning (fiber optics, serial RS).

Responsibilities

• Execute design and development of SCADA integration components for utility-scale renewables.
• Define and implement design standards and best practices.
• Review project requirements and ensure contractual deliverables.
• Create device point lists, HMI mockups, and commissioning test plans.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Review closeout documents and ensure completeness of deliverables.
• Provide intermediate technical support for SCADA configurations.
• Collaborate with customers and partners during technical discussions.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge base and support cross-functional platform development.
