Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an SCADA Engineer to design, develop and deliver SCADA solutions for utility-scale renewable projects. You will program, commission and troubleshoot SCADA servers, HMIs, and data historians, collaborating with field technicians and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

The role supports hybrid work with some in-office requirements in San Diego, Bend or remote arrangements; strong Python and Ignition SCADA experience are preferred, along with knowledge of PLCs

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy or utility scale projects.
• Proficiency with Python programming.
• Experience with Ignition SCADA platform and relational databases.
• Familiarity with PLC environments and industrial automation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Execute design and development of SCADA integration components for solar PV and BESS projects.
• Define and implement design standards aligned with company goals.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMIs.
• Review project closeout docs to verify contractual deliverables.
• Provide intermediate technical support for diverse SCADA configurations.
• Coordinate on-site commissioning with customers and field personnel.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge base and support cross-functional teams.
• Prepare status reports and support risk mitigation for projects.
• Support adherence to NERC compliance and governance standards.
