Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced SCADA engineer to design, develop, and deliver SCADA integration components for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. The role offers hybrid work with in-office presence in certain locations or remote options.

Responsibilities include programming SCADA servers, data historians, HMIs, and coordinating with field personnel to ensure successful commissioning and project success. Strong Python and Ignition SCADA proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy projects.
• Proficiency with Python programming language.
• Familiarity with Ignition SCADA and PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson).
• Knowledge of Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA protocols.
• Ability to read diagrams and schematics for power, control, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Execute design and development of SCADA integration components for utility-scale solar and storage projects.
• Define and implement project design standards and best practices with teams.
• Review project requirements and generate commissioning test plans and checklists.
• Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems.
• Provide intermediate technical support and coordinate with customers and field personnel.
• Maintain centralized knowledge base and contribute to project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and governance standards.
