Job summary

Belk Salon is seeking a Salon Retail Coordinator to oversee front desk operations and deliver exceptional guest service in our salon. Reporting to the Salon Manager, this nonexempt role focuses on greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting retail sales.

Responsibilities include suggesting retail products, cross-selling services, handling POS transactions, resolving customer issues, and maintaining a clean, compliant reception area in line with state regulations.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma.
• Proficient in computer-based business software.
• Ability to handle money, count and make change.
• Customer Service or cosmetic industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Suggesting retail products to clients, upselling and promoting services.
• Cross-sell services to other areas of the salon.
• Respond professionally to customer service issues and promptly address complaints.
• Exhibit good communication when dealing with difficult service situations.
• Overcome booking mistakes or corrective work and ensure refunds are handled professionally.
• Ongoing personal education on products and services relating to the industry.
• Promote business outside of the salon.
• Adjust schedule to meet client needs.
