Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for a busy store in Illinois. You will lead front-end and service operations, coach teams, and drive selling behaviors to achieve sales and service KPIs. The role includes MOD coverage, loyalty programs, and omni-channel initiatives.

You will oversee POS systems, Events programs, and the Knit & Sew Shop, while maintaining policy compliance and strong asset protection. Nights, weekends, and early mornings are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Coach and drive customer-focused selling behaviors.
• Lead front-end and service operations to meet KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure policy adherence and store conditions.
• Model Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and floor leadership.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout usage and accuracy.
• Lead in-store programs (Balloons, loyalty, MCC/Extend).
• Drive knit & sew shop and Cut Bar experiences.
• Support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery operations.
• Train and develop team members.
• Partner on Asset Protection practices.
