About The Role
The role leads a team of sales development representatives responsible for generating qualified pipeline for the account executive organization in a high-growth SaaS business. This is a player-coach position: managing daily activity and performance while building the coaching rhythms, processes, and data visibility that turn individual contributors into consistent quota-hitters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coach a team of 6-10 SDRs/BDRs responsible for booking meetings with mid-market and enterprise prospects
- Set and manage weekly and monthly activity, meeting, and pipeline-creation targets; hold regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and call-coaching sessions
- Own ramp plans and onboarding for new hires, including certification on messaging, tooling, and ICP qualification criteria
- Partner with demand‑gen and account executives to align target segments, messaging, and lead‑routing rules
- Analyze performance in Salesforce and sales‑engagement tools (Outreach/Salesloft) to identify coaching opportunities and process gaps
- Design and iterate outbound sequences, call scripts, and talk tracks for ICP personas in cloud and data platforms
- Report pipeline contribution, conversion, and team capacity metrics to sales leadership on a weekly cadence
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including 1-2 years managing an SDR or inside sales team
- Proven track record of building pipeline: comfortable with cold outbound, sequencing, and conversion analytics
- Hands‑on fluency with Salesforce, Outreach or Salesloft, and standard sales‑reporting workflows
- Strong coaching instincts and a track record of ramping new reps to quota
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting team performance to leadership
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience selling to technical buyers (cloud, DevOps, or data infrastructure) or building an SDR function from scratch
