Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team delivering top-tier customer service in a busy retail setting. The role involves coaching staff, managing performance, and ensuring department coverage while handling both customer-facing and inventory/safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities include supervising daily tasks, assisting with merchandising decisions, and occasionally serving as manager-on-duty. Travel to nearby stores for meetings or trainings may occur.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment.
• Or 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers.
• Assist with down stocking, area recovery, and input into merchandising decisions.
• Coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
• Lead and enable a team to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks, follow up on daily duties, and manage performance.
• Balance customer-facing activities with non-customer-facing duties and store safety responsibilities.
• Identify approaches to meet sales and service objectives and communicate best practices to the team.
• Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Travel to meetings or trainings and to support neighboring stores/outlets as needed.
