Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates, ensuring exceptional customer service in a fast-paced home improvement retail setting. You’ll coach staff, delegate tasks, and monitor daily performance to maintain optimal department coverage and a safe shopping environment.

You will also handle customer interactions, stock management, and merchandising input, while communicating best practices to boost sales and service goals across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks, and manage daily performance to ensure department coverage.
• Oversee customer-facing activities (greeting, identifying solutions, closing sales) and non-customer-facing tasks (stocking, inventory, area recovery).
• Promote safety, conduct safety walks, report hazards, and communicate lifting directions to the team.
• Collaborate with store leadership to share best practices that drive sales and service objectives.
