Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked store. You’ll guide merchandising decisions, coach staff, and ensure department coverage while prioritizing customer experience across both front-end and back-end activities.

Responsibilities include training, delegation, performance follow-up, and occasional store MOD duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of retail experience OR 5 years in retail.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of supporting Pro customers (Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience directing or supervising teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers provide the best service.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery and input into merchandising decisions.
• Monitor use of store power equipment and coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best customer experience, including coaching, delegating, and ensuring department coverage.
• Oversee customer-facing activities (greeting customers, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, closing sales) and non-customer-facing tasks (inventory, safety walks).
• Communicate best practices to the team to drive customer-focused behavior and goal attainment.
• Occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Travel occasionally to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores/outlets.
