Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe, well-stocked store environment. You will coach staff, manage daily tasks, and drive sales while coordinating across departments.

The role requires strong leadership, retail experience, and the ability to support Pro customers. Occasional MOD duties and light travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train associates; delegate and follow up on daily tasks; manage performance; ensure department coverage.
• Oversee customer-facing activities (greeting customers, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, closing sales) and non-customer activities (down stocking, inventory, area recovery).
• Ensure store safety and compliance, conduct safety walks, report hazards, and follow lifting directions.
• Communicate best practices to the team to drive sales, service objectives and morale.
• May open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Travel to meetings/trainings or to support neighboring stores as needed.
