Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store. You will coach staff, manage daily tasks, and ensure coverage across the department while supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include guiding customer interactions, supervising down stocking and inventory, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of retail experience OR 5 years of retail experience.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks, follow up on daily tasks, manage performance, and ensure department coverage.
• Handle customer-facing activities: greet customers, clarify needs, identify solutions, close sales; manage non-customer-facing activities: down stocking, inventory, area recovery; maintain store safety.
• Supervise associates in other departments when needed to meet store demands, share best practices to inspire customer-focused behavior.
• Communicate upward about concerns, issues, praises, and morale to store leadership.
• Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD). Travel to meetings/trainings or to support neighboring stores may occur.
