Job summary

Success Matcher Recruitment seeks a Sales Engineer to bridge engineering, trust and safety with customer success. You will moderate transactions, own KYC/payout flows, and optimize fraud controls in a high-volume fintech environment.

This player-coach role emphasizes hands-on technical work, rapid responsiveness to customer needs, and collaboration with high-value clients from our Brooklyn, NY office, five days a week.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of Sales Engineer/Forward Deployed Engineer experience in Payments/Fintech.
• CS degree from a Top 10 program.
• Experience at Stripe or YC-backed startup is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Next.js, TypeScript, and SQL.
• Hands-on builder who translates complex technical requirements into clear solutions.
• Based in Brooklyn, NY office, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Guard the Platform: Moderate transactions for chargeback risk, fraud, and collusion; decide fund holds, refunds, and onboarding reserves.
• Build Infrastructure: Own KYC and payout flows; make them extensible via public APIs.
• Content Moderation: Fight spam and scams within DMs to maintain a high-trust environment.
• Drive Innovation: Run A/B experiments on checkout and KYC; help architect Banking-as-a-Service and crypto bridging.
• Customer Interface: Serve as a technical expert for high-value customers and partners with speed and clarity.
