Ether.fi, Denver-based, seeks a Fraud Engineer to own the full fraud stack for campaigns, card program and fund flows, collaborating with Engineering, CX and compliance teams. You will detect anomalies, build real-time monitoring and automated defenses, and contribute to scalable playbooks in a fast-moving fintech setting.

The role emphasizes high ownership, cross-team coordination, and the ability to adapt to evolving fraud tactics while enabling secure growth of multi-billion dollar products.

Qualifications

• Own real-time fraud monitoring, alerting and mitigation systems.
• Ability to spot anomalous patterns and hunt emerging threats.
• Develop fraud rules, signals and scoring logic.

Responsibilities

• Own real-time fraud monitoring, alerting, and automated mitigation systems
• Hunt emerging threats: cashback farming, card testing, merchant abuse, friendly fraud, money laundering and malicious behavior inside the Ether.fi ecosystem
• Develop and tune advanced fraud rules, behavioral signals, and scoring logic
• Work on internal tools, dashboards, and scripts that make the team dramatically more effective
• Define fraud strategy and operational playbooks that scale with the business
• Active communication with cross-teams and with external business partners to mitigate the fraud risks
