Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a motivated Sales Associate for the Fluid Solutions team in the United States. You will start in a structured training path designed to prepare you for a future Outside Sales Representative role by gaining hands-on experience with our equipment rentals and building customer relationships.

You’ll train at a local branch, join a North American onboarding class, and progress through outbound campaigns while mastering CRM, inventory management, and customer portal tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile phone/tablet skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Training: must live within reasonable driving distance of assigned branch and report on-site M-F.

Responsibilities

• Shadow sales and operations to learn the full equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Participate in onboarding to sharpen sales techniques for success.
• Engage in outbound sales campaigns across construction verticals and customer segments.
• Master United Rentals sales tools including CRM, inventory management, and customer portal.
• Lead high-level sales conversations involving price negotiations and rental/service contracts.
• Learn proven sales methodologies to deliver customer solutions and drive revenue growth.
• Participate in local team initiatives and track progress through performance metrics.
• Receive daily feedback through meetings, coaching, and ride-alongs to jobsites.
