Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Sales Development Associate to join the Sales Development team in Chicago. The role focuses on training and shadowing across unassigned territories, providing agile coverage while preparing for permanent territory alignment.

You will participate in onboarding, mentorship, joint calls, and active pipeline support, with coaching to accelerate readiness for a permanent role. This is an offer-in-advance requisition with education and experience requirements verified before Day 1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required or four years of B2B sales experience.
• Four (4) years of B2B sales experience; or one (1) year in B2B sales with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates actively in sales training programs covering products, services, and CRM systems.
• Conducts structured job shadowing with SMB roles to observe cold outreach and lead qualification.
• Engages in joint customer calls and field visits to build practical sales skills and industry knowledge.
• Assists active territories with background research and outbound outreach under a secondary territory mapping framework.
• Participates in performance coaching, call reviews, and pipeline reviews with sales leadership.
