Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to join the Trench Safety team in Savannah as part of our Sales Development Program.

You’ll train on the full equipment-rental lifecycle, shadow sales and operations, and gain hands-on experience with our technical products while building essential relationship skills. You’ll work with CRM and sales tools, participate in onboarding across North America, and progress through outbound campaigns before promotion to Outside Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile phone/tablet skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Training: must live within reasonable driving distance of assigned branch and report on-site M-F.

Responsibilities

• Begin training at a local branch, shadowing sales and operations to learn the equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Participate in a North America onboarding class to sharpen sales technique and build internal support networks.
• Engage in outbound sales campaigns targeting different construction verticals and segments.
• Master United Rentals sales tools including CRM, inventory management platforms, customer portal, and mobile apps.
• Lead high-level sales conversations involving price negotiations, multi-piece rentals, and service contracts.
• Track development through achievement levels with feedback from leadership and ride-alongs to jobsites.
