Job summary

United Rentals is looking for a Sales Associate in Midland, Texas, who will undergo structured training to prepare for a future role as an Outside Sales Representative. You will gain hands-on experience with technical products, develop relationship-building skills, and work closely with industry experts.

The role includes participating in sales campaigns, mastering sales tools, and engaging in team initiatives to promote an inclusive culture. A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience is required along with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile phone/tablet skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Begin training at local branch to understand equipment rental lifecycle.
• Join digital onboarding to sharpen sales technique.
• Progress through outbound sales campaigns to learn about customer segments and equipment rentals.
• Master sales tools including CRM and customer portal.
• Lead sales conversations involving price negotiations and equipment service contracts.
• Learn sales methodologies to deliver customer solutions.
• Participate in local team initiatives and events.
• Track Sales Development progress with metrics and competitions.
• Receive feedback from leaders and track engagement.
