Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. invites applications for a Sales Associate on our Trench Safety team. You will begin in a structured Sales Development Program, shadowing sales and operations to learn the full equipment-rental lifecycle.

You'll progress through outbound campaigns across construction verticals, mastering our CRM and related tools while developing key relationship-building and negotiation skills. The role offers growth into Outside Sales with a strong support network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Customer-facing sales experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile phone/tablet skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Begin training at a local branch, shadowing sales and operational roles to learn the equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Progress through outbound sales campaigns across construction verticals and customer segments.
• Master sales tools including CRM, inventory management platforms, customer portal and mobile apps.
• Lead high-level sales conversations involving price negotiations and rental contracts.
• Participate in local team initiatives and track progress through performance metrics.
