Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Sales Associate for our General Rentals team. You’ll join a structured training path designed to prepare you for a future Outside Sales Representative role, gaining hands-on product knowledge and relationship-building skills.

You’ll start at a local branch, shadow sales and operations, and progress through outbound campaigns, learning to use CRM and other sales tools. Promotion to OSR follows the SDP timeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Customer-facing sales experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Proficient computer and mobile skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Begin training at a local branch shadowing sales and operations.
• Participate in North America onboarding class.
• Engage in outbound sales campaigns across construction verticals.
• Learn and use United Rentals sales tools and CRM.
• Lead high-level sales conversations including price negotiations and contracts.
• Develop sales strategies through feedback and coaching.
• Attend team events and track development in SDP.
• Other duties as assigned.
