Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is hiring a Sales Development Program Sales Associate in South Gate, CA. You will begin at a local branch, shadowing sales and operations to learn the equipment rental lifecycle while joining a North America onboarding path to sharpen your sales technique.

You will progress through outbound campaigns, master CRM and inventory tools, and participate in price negotiations, contracts, and cross-functional teamwork. Training spans several months with promotion potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile phone/tablet skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Training: must live within reasonable driving distance of assigned branch and report on-site M-F.

Responsibilities

• Begin training at a local branch, shadowing sales and operations roles to understand the equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Join peers for onboarding to sharpen sales technique and build internal support network.
• Progress through outbound sales campaigns across construction verticals and customer segments.
• Master United Rentals sales tools, including CRM, inventory management, customer portal, and mobile apps.
• Lead high-level sales conversations including price negotiations and contracts.
• Track progress with real-time metrics and weekly competitions; receive coaching and ride-alongs.
