Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Sales Associate for our General Rentals team. You’ll start in a structured Sales Development Program designed to train you for a future Outside Sales Representative role and to develop relationship-building skills with customers.

You’ll learn alongside industry experts, participate in outbound campaigns across construction verticals, and master our sales tools while getting hands-on experience and real-time performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured Sales Development Program (SDP) to prepare for Outside Sales.
• Shadow sales and operations teams to learn the full equipment rental lifecycle.
• Engage in outbound sales campaigns across construction verticals and customer segments.
• Master United Rentals sales tools, CRM, inventory systems, and mobile apps.
• Drive high-level sales conversations including price negotiations and service contracts.
