Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. seeks a Sales Associate on the General Rentals team to begin a structured training path designed to prepare you for a future Outside Sales Representative role.

You will shadow both sales and operations to gain a full lifecycle understanding of equipment rentals, while using CRM and inventory tools and engaging with customers across North America. You will progress through outbound campaigns, learn proven sales methodologies, and work with a supportive team to build

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile phone/tablet skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Begin training at a local branch, shadowing sales and operations to learn the full equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Participate in onboarding and sales campaigns to engage new and existing customers.
• Develop sales strategies, negotiate terms, and drive revenue growth.
• Learn and use United Rentals tools (CRM, inventory systems, portals, apps).
• Progress through SDP to Outside Sales Representative based on performance and market conditions.
