Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is hiring a Sales Associate on the Trench Safety team.

You will begin in a structured Sales Development Program, shadowing sales and operations to understand the full equipment-rental lifecycle and progress through outbound campaigns. You’ll master United Rentals sales tools, participate in local team initiatives, and develop skills in price negotiations, government and educational contracts, and service contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing sales role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proficient computer and mobile phone/tablet skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Begin your training at a local branch and shadow sales and operations to learn the equipment-rental lifecycle.
• Join North America-wide onboarding to sharpen your sales technique and build internal support networks.
• Progress through outbound sales campaigns across construction verticals and customer segments.
• Master United Rentals sales tools, CRM, inventory platforms, customer portal and mobile apps.
• Lead high-level sales conversations, including price negotiations and service contracts.
