Job summary

Garney is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure safety remains the top priority on our water and sewer pipeline projects. You will review, implement, and assist with safety regulations for project management and field teams, and conduct safety training and daily inspections to identify hazards.

The role requires a civil/construction safety background, OSHA 30, CHST within 6 months, and willingness to travel or relocate. Competitive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related degree preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
• Willing to travel and/or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel.
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel.
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations.
