Job summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure safety is the top priority on water and sewer pipeline projects. You will implement safety regulations, train teams, conduct daily inspections, and lead incident investigations to protect workers and projects.

The role requires a degree in a related field, OSHA 30, CHST eligibility within 6 months, and willingness to travel. Garney offers strong benefits and a commitment to a safe, diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related degree preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
• Willing to travel and/or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel.
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel.
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations.
