Job summary

Garney is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure safety is the top priority on our water and sewer pipeline projects in Houston. You will oversee safety programs, train site personnel, and lead daily inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering-related degree, OSHA 30, CHST eligibility within 6 months, and bilingual English/Spanish. Willingness to travel or relocate supports field work.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related degree preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
• Willing to travel and/or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards
• Conduct accident and incident investigations
