Job summary
Garney Construction is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure safety is the top priority on water and sewer pipeline projects. You will review and implement safety regulations, train site personnel, and conduct daily inspections to identify hazards. You will investigate accidents and incidents to improve safety outcomes.
The ideal candidate holds a civil/ mechanical/ construction engineering or safety-related degree, OSHA 30, CHST potential within 6 months, and willingness to travel or relocate.
Qualifications
- Degree in civil/ mechanical/ construction engineering, construction management, or safety-related degree preferred.
- OSHA 30 Certification in Construction is required/preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel.
- Conduct safety training for job site personnel.
- Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards.
- Conduct accident and incident investigations.
