Job summary

Garney is seeking a Safety Manager in Houston, TX to ensure safety is the top priority on water and sewer pipeline projects. You will implement regulations, train site personnel, perform inspections, and investigate accidents while coordinating regional travel.

The role requires a degree in civil/ mechanical/ construction engineering or a safety-related field, OSHA 30 Construction certification, and CHST eligibility within 6 months. Willingness to travel or relocate is expected.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction certification preferred.
• CHST certification within 6 months of employment.
• Degree in a safety-related or engineering field preferred.
• Must be willing to travel or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel.
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel.
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations.

Education
