Job summary

Garney is hiring a Safety Manager to ensure safety is the top priority on water and sewer pipeline projects. You will review, implement, and assist with safety regulations for project management and field personnel, and conduct daily safety inspections and incident investigations.

The role requires a degree in a safety-related field (preferred), OSHA 30 in Construction, CHST eligibility within 6 months, and willingness to travel or relocate. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related degree preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction.
• Bilingual- English/Spanish preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
• Willing to travel and or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards
• Conduct accident and incident investigations
