Job summary

Garney in Indianapolis is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure safety is the top priority on water and sewer pipeline projects. You will lead safety programs, train site personnel, inspect sites daily, and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence.

Ideal candidates hold a civil/structural safety degree, OSHA 30 in construction, and CHST within 6 months; willingness to travel and relocate is required for field assignments.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related degree preferred
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment
• Willing to travel and/or relocate

Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards
• Conduct accident and incident investigations

Skills

OSHA 30 Certification
