Job summary

Garney is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure safety is the top priority on its water and sewer pipeline projects. You will review and implement safety regulations for project teams, conduct on-site safety training, and lead daily inspections to identify hazards and correct them.

You will also investigate accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures. The ideal candidate has a safety-related degree, OSHA 30, CHST eligibility within six months, and a willingness to travel or relocate

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a safety-related degree preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification in Construction.
• Bilingual- English/Spanish preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain CHST within 6 months of employment.
• Willing to travel and or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and assist with safety regulations and standards for project management and field personnel.
• Conduct safety training for job site personnel.
• Conduct daily safety inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations.
