Job summary

Aventiv is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support the Lexington, KY region. The role is field-based, not remote, with travel up to 100 miles one way and a $500 monthly vehicle stipend plus mileage reimbursement.

The technician will repair and install telecommunication equipment, manage inventories, and assist customers with training and troubleshooting while serving as a hybrid onsite/roving technician as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 3 years of installation, repair and maintenance of telecom and networking devices.
• Experience with Windows OS, VOIP, Adtran Fortinet, AOS, Cisco IOS and wireless technology.
• Telephony experience including pulling cables and terminations up to 100 pair cables.
• Knowledge of network cabling standards (cat3, cat5, cat6).

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, programs and installs telecom hardware and networking equipment per specifications.
• Repairs/installs phones, kiosks, tablets and related equipment in assigned facilities.
• Provide site surveys and support for pre-bid meetings or sales conferences.
• Coordinate with dispatchers for ETA and travel logistics.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple departments.
• Assist in educating and training customers on products and services.
