Job summary

Aventiv Technologies – Where your future awaits. The roving field technician will install and repair telecommunications hardware, network gear and related equipment in correctional facilities within the Lexington, KY region. Travel is required; you may also be an onsite technician or hybrid as needed.

The role includes training customers, handling data entry, and inventory management while maintaining high safety and quality standards. A vehicle stipend and mileage reimbursement are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of installation, repair and maintenance of telecom and networking devices.
• Experience with Windows OS, VOIP, Adtran Fortinet, AOS, Cisco IOS and wireless technology.
• Telephony experience including cable termination and troubleshooting wiring.
• Experience with network cabling standards (cat3/5/6) and installation standards.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, programs and installs telecom and networking hardware and software within facilities.
• Repairs/installs phones, kiosks, tablets and related equipment within designated area.
• Provide site surveys, pre-bid meetings and sales support as needed.
• Coordinate with dispatchers for ETA and work orders; communicate status.
• Assist training and tutoring customers on Securus products and services.
