Job summary

Aventiv is seeking a Field Service Technician II to service the Grayson, KY region. This role involves roving assignment, on-site and in-field installations, and occasional travel within the region to repair telecommunications hardware and related systems.

The technician will support tablets, kiosks, and inmate communication devices, while maintaining inventories and providing customer training as required. A strong background in telecom and networking is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of installation, repair and maintenance of telecom and networking devices.
• Experience with Windows OS, VOIP, Adtran Fortinet, AOS, Cisco IOS and wireless technology.
• Telephony experience – pulling cable, terminations up to 100-pair, troubleshooting wiring.
• Experience with network cabling standards (CAT3/5/6).

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, program and install telecom hardware and networking equipment per specifications in facilities.
• Install phones, kiosks, video terminals, WAPs, tablets and other equipment in assigned areas.
• Provide site surveys, pre-bid support and assist in sales conferences.
• Coordinate with dispatchers to receive work orders and provide ETA.
• Assist customers with training, data entry and reporting as needed.
