Job summary

UniFirst in the United States is seeking a Route Trainee to begin a hands-on training path toward a Route Service Representative role. You’ll learn via a structured program, support daily deliveries, and gain exposure to multiple customer accounts, building a strong foundation in field-based service.

You’ll participate in the Service Certificate Program, assist with loading/unloading, and learn to provide reliable, on-time service while prioritizing safety and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• DOT medical exam compliance required.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to become an RSR.
• Assist with loading/unloading route trucks and daily operations.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items, on time at each stop.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences on established routes.
• Operate a company walk-in truck along designated routes with safety in mind.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, staying energy-efficient and attentive to safety.
• Contribute to service department success through customer relationships and daily reliability.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
