Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee to begin a rewarding career in service and customer care. You’ll receive hands‑on training through a blended program while supporting daily operations and preparing to transition into a full‑time Route Service Representative.

You’ll assist with deliveries, service, and route coverage, and learn multiple customer accounts. You’ll operate a company truck on designated routes with emphasis on safety, professionalism, and timely service.

Qualifications

• Driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• DOT compliance including a physical exam.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and ability to work independently.
• Experience in customer service or delivery is a plus.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Assist service team by loading/unloading route trucks.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items to customers.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences on established routes.
• Operate a company walk‑in truck along designated routes with safety in mind.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with energy and attention to safety.
• Contribute to service department success and build customer relationships.
• Maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
