Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee to learn our service model and support daily operations while preparing to advance to a Route Service Representative. You’ll participate in hands-on training, assist with deliveries, load/unload trucks, and help cover routes as needed, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; age 21+.
• DOT compliance including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service.
• Experience in customer service or delivery is a plus.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Support daily operations by loading/unloading route trucks.
• Deliver clean garments to customers and collect soiled items.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences.
• Operate a company walk-in truck on designated routes.
• Engage in both indoor and outdoor work environments.
• Contribute to service department success and customer relationships.
• Maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights/weekends.
