Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Trainee in Nashville to join the service team and learn the Route Service Representative role through a hands-on training program. You will assist with deliveries, route coverage, and daily operations while developing customer relationship skills in a field-based setting.

Ideal candidates will have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and clean driving record required.
• DOT requirements including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service accepted.
• Strong customer service skills and independent work ability.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with new technologies to boost efficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prep for RSR role.
• Assist service team with loading/unloading route trucks and daily ops.
• Deliver clean garments to customers and return soiled items.
• Provide route coverage for absences and manage established routes.
• Operate a company walk-in truck along designated routes with safety.
• Work in indoor/outdoor environments; maintain energy and safety.
• Support service department success and build customer relationships.
