Job summary

UniFirst seeks a Route Trainee to Begin a hands-on training path toward becoming a Route Service Representative. You will assist with deliveries, support daily operations, and learn multiple customer accounts while building strong customer relationships.

This role emphasizes safety, dependability, and professional service in a field-based environment, with a clear pathway to full-time growth and earnings through a commission-based route position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• DOT compliance includes meeting physical exam requirements.
• High school diploma, GED or military service required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales or delivery is a plus.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using new technologies to improve operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst's Service Certificate Program to become an Route Service Representative (RSR).
• Support daily operations by loading/unloading route trucks and ensuring accuracy at start of each day.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items, maintaining timely, dependable service.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences to uphold service standards.
• Operate a company walk-in truck on designated routes and build customer relationships.
• Work in both indoor/outdoor environments with safety as a priority.
• Contribute to service department success through customer-focused actions.
• Maintain a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
