UniFirst in Indianapolis is seeking a Route Trainee to learn a full-time Route Service Representative role through hands-on training. You’ll assist with deliveries, route coverage, and daily operations while learning the SCP program and building strong customer relationships.

This entry-level position offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends, safety-focused training, and clear opportunities for career growth into a full-time RSR role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or military service) required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• DOT compliance including a physical exam.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and remaining on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Assist service team by loading and unloading route trucks.
• Deliver clean garments to customers and return soiled items.
• Provide route coverage during RSR absences to maintain service levels.
• Represent UniFirst on the road by operating a company walk‑in truck on designated routes.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with safety as a priority.
• Contribute to service department success by building customer relationships.
• Maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
