Job summary

UniFirst in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Route Trainee to gain hands-on training and progress toward a Route Service Representative role. You will assist with deliveries, loading and unloading trucks, and supporting daily operations while learning multiple customer accounts.

This role emphasizes dependable service, safety, and customer relationships. You’ll work a daytime Monday through Friday schedule, with opportunities for advancement into a full-time, commissioned RSR position as you complete

Qualifications

• Driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• DOT compliance including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service.
• Strong customer service skills with ability to work independently.
• Experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Tech-savvy and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst's Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Load/unload route trucks and support daily operations with accuracy.
• Deliver clean garments and return soiled items, providing reliable service.
• Provide route coverage when needed and uphold high service standards.
• Operate a company walk-in truck along designated routes, prioritizing safety.
