Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate drivers for residential, commercial, and roll-off services. You will balance workloads, communicate with drivers, and resolve on-route issues to ensure prompt, courteous service.

You will handle incoming requests from customer service and sales, update daily route schedules, and inform customers of delays while maintaining accurate route documentation and driver location data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; legal to work in the US; ability to work in a team.
• High attention to detail; multitasking; strong listening, communication and problem solving.
• Preferred dispatch experience.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches drivers to calls using needs, locations, loads to balance cost and satisfaction.
• Route and assign tasks to drivers; monitor progress and assure completion.
• Handle calls and emails from customer service and sales for pickups or deliveries.
• Notify customers of delays and coordinate with drivers on-site.
• Prepare and update daily route schedules and route sheets.
• Report driver performance issues to management.
• Participate in training and other learning opportunities.
